New publication on optical parametric oscilation in the visible!
October 26, 2020
We have recently published our new research, conducted by Xiyuan, on the development of microresonator optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) in which a near-infrared pump laser creates any one of a set of distinct colors.
Green, yellow, orange, and red wavelengths are acccessed by a small adjustment of the pump laser frequency and resonator size. Such behavior has been obtained through careful tailoring of the dispersion of the silicon nitride (Si3N4) ring resonator. Check out the paper that has been published in the latest issue of Optica!
