Research Areas:

  • Integrated photonics design/fab/test
  • Integrated quantum photonics
  • Nanoscale electro-optomechanical transducers
  • Nonlinear nanophotonics

Where are they now?:

Marcelo was a NIST/UMD Postdoctoral Researcher working in the NIST labs on integrated quantum photonics, nonlinear nanophotonics, and cavity optomechanics. He is now a Project Leader at NIST, where he leads projects on single quantum emitters in the Microsystems and Nanotechnology Division. We collaborate with Marcelo on a variety of projects.
